Makenzie's First Soccer Game

Makenzie started playing soccer! I had to miss her first game, but she is loving it. She is on the youngest team, that tends to just chase the ball around and doesn't care which goal is theirs. Makenzie had a fast break where she was kicking the ball down the field...the wrong direction, but I'm still so proud.

The funny thing is her favorite part is the team cheer at the end. That is what she talks about the most and she came home crying one day when she didn't get to be a part of it. Apparently I should have signed her up for cheer leading. Maybe next year.

Christmas 2012 Part 2

Hike...somewhere in the middle of the desert. Surprised we didn't see any rattle snakes. But we saw plenty of cacti:

The hiking diva Lainey. I love it.

Tuscon Spanish Mission:

The start of our Media Niche! Nick's dad, Nick, and Reed worked crazy hard to get us going to our media center. It's not completed yet, but it will be soon! I will post pictures. So excited! A simple thank you isn't enough for all of the time and hard work that has been put into this thing!

Christmas 2012 Part 1

We had so much fun over Christmas break! Nick's sister and her family came and stayed with us, followed by Nick's parents! Nick was able to have two weeks off of work for the Christmas season.

Makenzie and Jakob were BFFs and pretty much inseparable:
They watched Brave together like every night:

A giraffe and her baby boy:

Joel and Tanner didn't get along so well....Tanner spent the week screaming and running away from was kind of funny:

Tanner's pants don't stay on very well:

Christmas eve program:

Christmas Eve hot tub:

Grandpa's Visit

Grandpa came to visit for a few days and it was so much fun!

What a good grandpa to play pretty pretty princess with his granddaughter:

Helping Nick install better outdoor lighting:

Reading books to Tanner:

The bigger project was helping Nick build a work bench but I didn't get any pictures of the process! It turned out pretty awesome though! I should go out to the garage to get a picture of the final project, but that will have to be later.
