Easter/100th Post

I have reached my 100th post! It probably means I should be a professional blogger but I am far from it. In fact, I can never do anything I want and every single time I make a post, I end up very frustrated with the computer, blogger, pictures, life... I really think they need to make blogger more user friendly...or at least more Lindsey-friendly (what a lame thing to say...I'm so embarrassed)

Well, the Easter bunny did come to Makenzie! She got the same thing she got last year: a summer supply kit!

In Utah we wear winter coats while Easter egg hunting because it is FREEZING. It kind of took Makenzie a while to understand that we wanted her to put the eggs in the basket. At first she just ran around in circles all excited with her basket.

But she eventually figured it out...

But she seemed very confused as to why we were making her do this....

But she soon decided it was fun...when she realized there was candy inside of the eggs...

Poor thing couldn't get the candy out so she just went for the entire egg...

Admiring her hard work...

Mascot Tradition

Nick and I have a little tradition we do every March for the NCAA Men's Tournament. We fill out what we call a "mascot bracket." We look up the mascot's for every school in the tournament and decide which mascot would beat the other mascot. Although I'm sure someone can argue with every pick we make, we decide together who WE think will win. For example the Richmond Spiders played St. Mary's Gaels. We decided that a Gael would beat a spider. Sometimes there are harder choices like BYU Cougars vs. Florida Gators or Utah St Aggies vs. Texas A&M Aggies. Anyway, we make the picks for the entire bracket based off of this.

Usually the Mascot Bracket does terrible. It seems that the past few years, we have had very low seeds winning the entire tournament and our bracket dies around the sweet sixteen. It is usually the worst ranking bracket ever. However, this year we had a little surprise.

This year, our Mascot bracket is our best bracket. We have three of the final four! The Duke Blue Devils, the West Virginia Mountaineers, and the Michigan State Spartans killed everyone else off. This is probably the best a mascot bracket will ever do so we are pretty excited this year!
