Football Season

It is football season again and BYU is doing awesome! We are undefeated and currently ranked #11. Although I do know some about football, I am not a boy so I am not going to attempt to get into the details of the season. I will just say that we are doing really good, the games are really fun to go to, and I will post some pictures! If you want to know specifics, e-mail Nick.

BYU vs. Northern Iowa
Me and my cute nephew Jack. He has the best smile.

Nick's best friend Brandon has his own BYU Sports show called True Blue. Brandon gets press passes to all of the BYU events and gets to stand on the sidelines during the football games. Nick got to go with him to the UCLA game to be his helper. I think it was the happiest day of Nick's life. He got to be part of the tunnel when the BYU team ran out and stood in the middle of the field during the coin toss. He was standing in the end zones most of the game and therefore ended up in the background on national TV. He is so famous. After the game was over, he had to be dragged off of the field.

Home Sweet Home

So Nick and I moved a few weeks ago and we love our new place! I guess most of the pictures are self-explanatory so I won't bother to explain each picture. We do have a second bedroom that I didn't include pictures of because I haven't done anything to that room yet. It will be a nursery/office pretty soon!

The big clock on the living room wall was given to Nick and me for our wedding. My mom's companion from her mission made it for us and I just love it!

Last Friday was my birthday and I got to go to Outback! We also saw the new Indiana Jones movie and Nick got me a video camera! Really it is a present for me for the baby because I decided I can't have a baby without a video camera. They grow up too fast....we have to be able to catch some things on film. I also got a cookbook and apron from Nick's parents and my parents got me some maternity clothes! And Amy got me a wall flower! Thanks everyone for the presents and birthday messages!

Nick's First Day

It was always a tradition in both mine and Nick's families to take a first day of school picture on the porch. I think most people let that tradition die out after elementary school, but not me! We made a deal last night. Nick asked me to drive him to school and I said I only would if he let me take a first day of school picture. He said he would let me take a first day of school picture if he didn't have to dress up for his first day. I was kind of scared about that because before we got married I'm pretty sure all he wore were basketball shorts and middle school t-shirts. But, he surprised me and a wore a button down shirt and looked so cute! He is all ready for his first day of BYU Grad School!!

For those of you who don't know, Nick is getting his Master's in Electrical Engineering. He applied to both BYU and Utah, was accepted to both, and got an acceptance letter from BYU two weeks after he applied because he is so smart! I'm so proud of him! It is going to be a busy year for him though. In addition to going to school he will still be working in Salt Lake City as a software engineer for L-3 Communications, and he will become a daddy somewhere in there!

Also, I am posting two other first day of school pics. I only had one from elementary school and one from last year. He refused to smile.
